SYNOPSIS:
After learning that Frieza murdered his father and destroyed his home planet, Goku takes aim at the putrid purple monster in the greatest grudge match the galaxy has ever seen! The bruises multiply at a furious rate as the two warriors trade blows in a battle that literally destroys planet Namek. As the slugfest approaches a standstill, Frieza forever silences Goku's closest friend - sending Earth's hero into a Super Saiyan rage that threatens to obliterate them both!

REVIEW:
Part four starts off in the middle of the final showdown against Frieza and with Goku still recharging in Friezas ship it's up to Piccolo,Krillin, Gohan and Vegeta to defeat the evil tyrant. Unfortunately, none of them are even close to matching Frieza's power level now that he has decided to change into his final and most devastating form! Vegeta discovers that Saiyans grow more powerful every time they recover from a powerful attack and gets Krillin to shoot him with an energy blast but Vegeta's plan backfires when the young Namekian, Dende who has the power of healing doesn't want to help Vegeta at all. Piccolo convinces Dende that they need all the help they can get and he decides to heal Vegeta.
Vegeta quickly attacks Frieza but he hasn't achieved Super Saiyan form like he had hoped to and is quickly overwhelmed by Frieza's powerful attacks. Goku emerges from the ship fully healed and flies off to help his friends. Both Frieza and Goku seem equally matched until Frieza powers up to 50%! The others try to intervene but are quickly picked off, with his friends sacrifices on his mind Goku charges up for his most powerful attack!
On Earth everyone is scrambling to summon the eternal Dragon and revive all who were lost on planet Namek. With the Namekian elder on Earth come the Namekian Dragon balls and they still have one final wish left in them!

James Marsters delights at Big Apple ComicCon

Actor James Marsters was greeted by squealing fangirls when he dropped by the Big Apple Comic Convention this past weekend.

According to the Huffington Post, 35 women and one man each paid the $200 admissions fee to hear the former Buffy the Vampire cast member recite Shakespeare Sonnet 18, and to talk to him for several hours, conversing on everything from science fiction to sex and politics.

One of the women has said that she’s devoted to Marsters, 48, because “I’ve met a lot of actors, but none as genuinely interested in his fans as James.”

Marsters first rose to prominence by playing the breakout character Spike on the cult hit,Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Sporting a British accent so convincing most viewers didn’t know he was actually American, Marsters’ performance helped turn the violent, romantic vampire into one of the most popular characters of the series. The show saw him as a prominent villain/guest star for two of its seven total seasons and a main cast member for four.

Marsters played Spike for the final season of Buffy’s spin-off show, Angel. The series was untimely canceled by WB despite being one of their highest-rated shows that year, but Marsters’ fanbase in the sci-fi/fantasy community has only continued to grow. His other prominent roles include Braniac on Smallville, Lex Luthor on the DC Universe Online MMO game, Piccolo on Dragonball Evolution, and Captain John Hart onTorchwood

Dragonball Z Kai Might End With Cell Saga

Fans of Dragonball Z Kai may be unhappy to hear that the revamped series is possibly coming to an end earlier than expected.

Circulating around the internet is an image taken from the magazine TV Pia, which contains an interview with Takeshi Kusao, the voice actor for Trunks.

According to the Dragonball fan site Daizenshuu EX, there are only four episodes remaining and that Kusao expresses concern hoping that “if there is an opportunity, that they can also remake the Majin Buu story arc.”

Despite any success there may have been in America with the franchise, Daizenshuu EX mentions that sales figures are noticeably down in Japan which lead to the decision to replace Kai’s slot with another show called Toriko.

The revised Dragonball Z Kai series has been airing on the Japanese station Fuji TV since April of 2009 under Toei animation and was picked up by Funimation for the U.S. dub. With an American television airing on Nicktoons since May 2010 and various uncut blu-ray and DVD releases, Dragonball Z Kai’s future appeared to be a promising one.

Might the buu saga be continued under another name or is this really the end of the line? Funimation still has yet to comment on the latest turn of events.

Supposed Dragonball Movie Reboot screenwriter Kazuaki Kiriya has denied any involvement in the listing of the Dragonball reboot and has requested IMDB to remove said listing.

"Screenwriter and director Kazuaki Kiriya wrote on his Twitter account on Monday that the Internet Movie Database’s (IMDB’s) “Untitled Dragon Ball Reboot” entry, which lists Kiriya as a writer, is “completely fake.” He said that he is currently asking IMDB to correct the “nonsensical info,” and he added that the misinformation is adversely affecting the actual projects he has in the works."

Enjoying a leisurely weekend outing, Emmy Rossum was spotted strolling about in Century City, California on Saturday (January 15).

The "Shameless" star led the way while joined by her Yorkshire Terrier Cinnamon for a shopping excursion at Barnes and Noble book store.

As for her Showtime series "Shameless," Miss Rossum recently spoke with THR about the show's sex scenes with love interest Justin Chatwin.

The actress nonchalantly told, "It's like, okay, time to take my top off."

Having worked with Chatwin on "Dragonball: Evolution" has helped make things more comfortable for Emmy and Justin, as she explained, "The whole thing is so silly that if we weren't so comfortable with each other, it would be really uncomfortable. It's definitely an acquired experience."

Also touching on the realism of her character Fiona's bed romps, Rossum said, "It doesn't make sense that the character would wear a bra and care at all about what she looks like when she's having sex. Sex is meant to feel good, and she wants to feel good. Her life is so sh--y in so many ways. Some people use alcohol, some people use gambling -- and some people use sex.”

Emmy Rossum, perhaps best known for playing doe-eyed innocents (i.e. The Phantom of the Opera) is getting down and dirty with her role as the scrappy, sexy Fiona Gallagher on Showtime’sShameless, which airs Sundays on at 10 p.m. As the 20-year-old daughter of an alcoholic father (played by William H. Macy) and an MIA mother, Fiona serves as the de facto head of her penniless Chicago household, parenting her five younger siblings and dating a car thief. For its honest portrayal of penury, the show is surprisingly funny, and horny as hell. (Fiona's two teenage brothers — one of whom is romantically involved with a married Muslim man — are turbocharged with hormones, her next-door neighbors are permanently copulating, and even Joan Cusack has a kink.) Rossum talked with Vulture about the relief of ditching her princess image, and the glory of working with a bunch of dirty-minded boys.

I can’t remember the last time we’ve seen a white family on TV in such economic dire straits as the Gallaghers, except maybe white-trash Southerners who serve as the butt of a joke.
They’re not even blue collar. They’re no collar. They don’t have a car. They don’t have groceries sometimes. They work odd jobs. It’s interesting to show a family dealing with the economic downturn, and where the children have more of a parental role than the parents. Clearly the mom is MIA, and the dad, Frank, is an alcoholic, unemployed narcissist.

Frank is a loose cannon who turns up after a few days of being on a bender, totally volatile and sometimes even violent.
I think that’s what makes the character interesting. But in the third episode, we see him being so sweet with [his new girlfriend] Debbie [Joan Cusack]. At one point he had the ability to be a very caring person. He’s just clearly lost his way.

You worked with your Shameless boyfriend, Justin Chatwin, in your last movie, Dragonball: Evolution.
Yes. We’re very comfortable with each other, which is good, especially when you have to do sex scenes. He’s very amusing. He likes to eat a tuna sandwich before our romantic scenes. All the boys are always pulling pranks on each other.

Like what?
They’re foul. I shouldn’t even say.

No, you should.
They mess with each other’s trailers in bad, bad ways. They’re boys. They’re gross. [Laughs.] They’ve asked me to participate, but I won’t stoop to their level.

Tell me one prank.
Okay. One day, they put a public-restroom sign on my trailer door, so everyone started using my bathroom, because they thought it was the public restroom. Hundreds of people were peeing in my bathroom.

You’ve inherited a bunch of surrogate brothers.
That’s what I always wanted. Actually, with the exception of one of the other kids, all of us, in real life, are only children. I think that’s why we gravitate toward each other, because we’ve always wanted siblings. Now I have to think about a good retaliation. I am going to put Gruyère in a sock and leave it in one of their drawers for a week.

Who are the masterminds?
Steve Howie, who plays our neighbor. And Justin.

So, this show isn’t just earthy onscreen. Actually, Shameless is probably the raunchiest show on TV. And Fiona is certainly less of an innocent than your past characters.
The word the writers use to describe her is “feral.” You don’t know how she’s going to react. She’s stable, but if you get in the way of her brood, she’ll cut you. For some weird reason, I found that this character comes easier to me than the other ones I’ve done, which probably says something about my childhood and is probably something I should talk to somebody about. I think that, because of the way I look, I was always cast as this — I’m gonna go with "princessy," in corset-y dramas like Phantom of the Opera. When this role came up, I really had to fight for it. I wasn’t the logical choice for this character at all, and I had done nothing in the past to suggest that I could do anything like this.

Is it weird doing sex scenes?
I’ve always shied away, but I’m 24, and I feel like I’m ready. It never feels gratuitous. If they’re going to try to show what these characters’ lives are like, sex is such a big part of it that to not show that would seem like a disservice. So much of people’s insecurities or idiosyncrasies and feelings of self-worth come out in sexual situations.

What’s the craziest thing you have to do?
In episode eleven, I have to make myself into a human pretzel and sing “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

And how about Fiona’s teenage brother, Ian, who’s having an affair with a married Muslim man? Scandal!
With children. Married to a white chick. You’re just like, how many people can we offend at once? I’m waiting for the Jewish jokes. Bring it! My people are waiting.

Dragon Ball Battles Again in New DS Screens

Dragon Ball Z has been battling again in High Definition, and has a new fighting game for the DS - Ultimate Butoden.

Back in November Japanese magazine Shonen Jump confirmed the new game and now publisher Namco Bandai has revealed new screenshots of protagonist Goku, friends and foes doing battle. You'll be able to select a huge cast, with the story spanning the three main DragonBall Z arcs - including Cell and Buu.
